She came to the United States at the age of 7 and settled in suburban New York with her mother and siblings. In 2000, she moved to Florida and finally settled in Decatur, Georgia in 2012. She passed away on Friday, January 22, after a four-month long battle with what started as pneumonia before she contracted Covid-19 at the end of October.
Dyna graduated from Spring Valley High School in Rockland County, New York. She went on to work various jobs with support from organizations that work with the developmentally disabled. Dyna especially enjoyed working at Red Lobster and Marshall’s. She enjoyed word find puzzles, Candy Crush, and America’s Got Talent Kids in her leisure time.
Dyna was a very special soul. Forever a child in heart and mind, she lived with and was cared for by her mother all her life. Babies and children were the absolute center of her world, and she doted on and played with her 3 nieces and 5 nephews with unbridled joy. They will miss her especially. Dyna was sweet and affectionate and had an infectious laugh and radiant smile. She delighted in often reminding her family members by text or voicemail-her siblings most often-how much she loved them.
Dyna is predeceased by her twin brother, Jimmy, who passed when they were only 3. She is survived by her mother, Immaculee (Francois) Denis, and step-father Dameus Denis, her brothers Jean-Phillippe Francois, Louis Pierre, and Erick Pierre, and her sisters Mary Sindy Felin and Tricia (Felin) Irving. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Christopher Irving and sister-in-law Lamonique (Collins) Pierre, as well as by 8 beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
