

GAILLARD, Frances Frances Cridlin Gaillard of Atlanta died Friday November 5th. A long-time Atlanta resident, Mrs. Gaillard moved to Atlanta after completing school at Louisburg College in North Carolina. She was employed by Piedmont Life Insurance Company on Peachtree Street where she met her future husband, Gene, who was a noted Atlanta amateur golfer. Mrs. Gaillard joined St. Luke's Episcopal Church after her marriage, where her husband's family were communicants. The church became an important part of her life, and at different times she assisted with the EYC, was a member of the Junior Vestry, and a member of both St. Theresa's Circle, and Daughters of the King. She most recently served as a volunteer at St. Luke's, assisting in the preparation and mailing of the church newsletter, The Messenger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene P. Gaillard, Sr. and her sister Edith "Jerry" Whitefield. She is survived by her sons, Gene P. Gaillard Jr. of Covington, Ted C. Gaillard (Carole) and Wes Gaillard (Robyn) both of Atlanta, and her grandchildren, Andy Gaillard (Kristi), Bobby Gaillard, Paige Gaillard, Rebecca Gaillard and Sam Gaillard. The funeral will be held at St Luke's Episcopal Church in Atlanta at 1:30 on Wednesday. The family will receive condolences at H. M. Patterson's, Spring Hill, between the hours of 6 and 8 PM on Tuesday and between 1 and 1:30 at St Luke's on Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church 435 Peachtree Street, NE Atlanta, GA 30308. Interment at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs following the funeral service.
