We at Campbell-Stone Buckhead are grateful to have been a part of Grace's later years (2005-2012).  She and I shared a connection as supporters of Atlanta Ministry to International Students (AMIS). Sunday, June 24th, was the retirement dinner for Rev. Dr. Fahed Abu-Akel at Peachtree Presbyterian.  I was delighted to see that Grace attended, too, in a manner of speaking.  The slide show of scenes from across his active ministry included one of Grace alone in front of a reception table at her church--how fitting.

As long time members at First Presbyterian, we knew and loved Grace Cox. As our children grew up and married, she was there to set up and direct our family church activities.  Her smile and her words were always so welcome and appreciated ... and remembered.  She'll be missed by many.

Ms. Grace Cox always had a smile and a kind word to say to everyone. My parents thought so much of her (she sat behind us at Church). She will be missed by The Akers Family.

 Grace and I go way back. I will miss you Grace. She was the first friend I had when I came to Atlanta  from Orlando at age three and we lived in the Cox-Carlton. She and I ate breakfast and ran around the lobby at the hotel. She sat across from me in the first grade at Washinton Seminary and we went  to First Presbyterian Church together. When she worked at Piedmont she was the one that told my husband and our friend Florence Crook that we had a beautiful little girl and she was the one that helped schedule Tina's wedding in later years.  Every one will miss "Aunt Gacee"

So sorry to have just heard about Grace's death too late to get to the visitation and service, but Grace was a dear soul that I was fortunate to know through the church.  I have missed seeing her since she was relieved of duty for the weddings at church and am sorry to hear of her death.  Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

She lived a long fruitful life. Cherish your memories and look to God to support you at this time

As a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta I sometimes saw Grace in the hallways of the church.  She always left me feeling that I had had a very pleasant encounter. I am sad to know that she is no longer with us.

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Grace's passing. She was a dear and long-time friend of our family, especially to my Aunt Nancy Gaillard Cobb. I believe they attended Washington Seminary together. Nancy's son Gil let me know Grace had passed. I shall always remember her fondly, a true southern lady. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family.
