

Atlanta, GA - James Landon Padgett, age 30, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at Halcyon Hospice of Atlanta. Landon was born on November 24, 1985 in Macon, GA, the son of Jimmy Padgett and Sherry Van Buren Padgett Conklin and was raised in Cochran, GA. He graduated from Bleckley County High School in 2004 where he was a member of the Royal Kingsman Band (playing the French Horn), Senior Superlative, voted most talented, Literary Region Boys Quartet Team, One Act Play lead (Riff in West Side Story) Drama Club Vice President, Royal Singers, Cross Country Team and Tennis Team. He attended Middle Georgia College from 2004 to 2006. Georgia State University from 2006 to 2007. He graduated from the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Emory University with RN, BSN and CCRN degrees in 2010. Landon was currently employed by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory Healthcare Critical Care Float Team. He worked at Grady Hospital ICURN in 2015 to 2016. He also worked for Children’s Healthcare at Egelston upon graduation in 2010 to 2014. He was a member of the Atlanta Concert Band from 2013 to 2015 and participated in Sparton Races and attained all three medals in 2015. He was an avid Crossfit Trainer Level 1 (CF-L1) and participant. Survivors are his husband of 2 years Tony Shiver of Atlanta; his parents, Jimmy (Linda) Padgett of Cochran and Sherry (Wake) Conklin of Forsyth; his sister, Stephanie (Tim) Blackwell of Macon; his brother, Jarad (Layla) Padgett of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Cory (Donna) Blackwell of Juliette, Collin Blackwell of Macon; niece, Alexa Padgett of Charlotte, NC; Tony’s parents, Bob and Sherry Colby of Sylvester and Tony’s sister, Robin (Jay) Pfluke of Rochester, NY; Tony’s niece and nephew Nolynne Pfluke and Tobias Pfluke of Henrietta, NY; several cousins, aunts and uncle’s. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at H.M. Patterson and Son Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Rd., NE, Atlanta GA 30319.
