James William Porter, 84, of Atlanta, died August 3, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Porter and son, Dan Porter. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Tom Porter and Carol; James W. Porter, II and Sharon; daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Porter; Lori Andersen and Erik; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Michael Porter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 with a rosary at 7:30 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30319. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 7th at 11 o’clock at All Saints Catholic Church. Interment Arlington Memorial Park.
