

An only child, Jane grew up in Hoboken, NJ with lots of family, grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins about. As a young adult she worked in NYC as a secretary in the garment district and enjoyed the city life.
Jane later worked as an executive secretary for Mobile Oil where she met Howard Bryant, a chemical engineer with Mobile. They married on December 2, 1972 in Cranbury, NJ and have been happily married for almost 53 years.
Jane was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain. She also became quite a good Bridge player, winning club tournaments, and golfer, scoring a hole in one at the Country Club of the South in Alpharetta, GA where she and Howard retired to in 1993. They traveled extensively to many different countries including China, Australia, India and Egypt, a few of her favorites.
Jane is survived by her husband Howard Sewall Bryant; stepchildren Mary Kinsey Bryant Burdwood & Edward (Ned) W. S. Bryant and his wife Heidi Hitchcock Bryant; grandchildren William Howard & Katherine Kinsey Burdwood and Madeleine Ivy & Jackson Sewall Bryant; cousins Darrylyn Lombardi & Christopher Cottage; Peter & Steven Caras, and Tracy Caras, previously deceased, and Jane Jameson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, 11am at Lenbrook, 3747 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. Interment will be at a later date at the Bryant family plot, Greenfield Cemetery in Moss point, MS.
