

Jeannine Mansfield, 66, passed away Saturday, January 16 at her home in Atlanta, GA after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. A native of Oxnard, CA, Mrs. Mansfield grew up on a ranch in Greenfield, CA. She loved life on the farm, where she was an avid horserider. She graduated from King City High School in 1967, where she was active in 4-H and FFA raising lambs, and also performed in musical theater. She was married to Robert Mansfield, Jr., of King City. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Gill; her father Jack Gill, and her mother, Gussie Gill. She is survived by her husband, Brigadier General Robert Mansfield (USAF retired); two sons, Aaron (Jessica) and Nathan (Heather); four grandchildren, John, Joseph, Emersen, and Nadia; as well as a sister, Melinda Stewart (Tim) and several nephews. She had an extended family of kids who found their way to her kitchen door for snacks, kind words, and good advice. As an Air Force wife, she travelled around the country and the world. She is fondly remembered by family and friends as someone who was patient, kind, a good cook, gracious host, a faithful friend, and someone who made every new place feel like home. A memorial service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in her family home town of Paso Robles, California on January 29, 2016 at 1 PM.
