John Philip Charron, 57, of Sandy Springs, died suddenly on February 17, 2024. Born on September 2, 1966, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, John is the son of the late Celine Marie Charron and the late Robert Albert Charron.
A graduate of Syracuse University, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Insights and Data at Capgemini.
John was an avid outdoors man and a two-time Iron Man. As President of the Roswell Bass Club, he believed that a bad day fishing is better than a good day doing just about anything else. His favorite reason for being off the water was spending time with his family.
To talk to John for five minutes was to understand how much he adored his wife and two daughters. His wife, whom he met in Dusseldorf, Germany was his best catch ever. John and Brittany were married for 28 years. He was a proud girl dad and all that was special about him will live on in his daughters.
Kind, loyal, and funny, John invited you in, took good care of you, and left you feeling like the most important person in the world. The memory of his warmth and wicked sense of humor will be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his grandparents Cecile and Roland Descheneaux and by an uncle, Roger Descheneaux.
He is survived by his wife, Brittany Bolton Charron and his daughters, Aubrey Niles Charron and Cecile Crofton Charron; two brothers, Robert Charles Charron (Dot) of North Platte, Nebraska and Michael James Charron of Blackstone, Massachusetts; his uncle, Paul Joseph Descheneaux (Mari) of Okatie, South Carolina; his beloved mother-in-law, Elaine Hazleton Bolton of Atlanta; and cherished cousins.
A service to celebrate the life of John Charron will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 24 at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church (3180 Peachtree Road), where he was a member. A reception in Grace Hall will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts in John's memory be made to C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation (http://tinyurl.com/39at4v22) or Georgia Natural Resources Foundation (https://gnrf.gadnr.org).
Casting a line, drinking a Diet Coke, and telling someone you love them in his honor are also recommended.
