Judy Hancock Fuller of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025. She is survived by her four daughters, Caroline Fuller Lockerman (Allen) and triplets Lauren Elizabeth Fuller, Kimberly Ali Fuller, Jennifer Fuller Rogers (Jason), and her two granddaughters, Catharine Elizabeth Lockerman and Lauren Fuller Lockerman. Judy is also survived by Robert James Fuller, the father of their four daughters, her beloved brother Robert Kennon Hancock Jr, and her nephews, Mathias Hancock Hunoval and Robert Kennon Hunoval. She is predeceased by her beloved sister, Joan Hancock Mebane.
Judy was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Dr. Robert Kennon Hancock and Mildred Alley Hancock on June 4, 1948. Judy attended Morris Brandon Elementary School, The Lovett School, and The University of Georgia.
In early years, Judy taught many of northwest Atlanta’s children how to swim at her parent’s home. While at Lovett, Judy was crowned Homecoming Queen and served as Captain of the Varsity Football Cheerleaders. Judy was President and a member of the Cherokee Debutants.
Judy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in education from The University of Georgia and taught school for several years. She had a special gift nurturing children. While matriculating at The University of Georgia she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority. During that time, she met Robert “Bob” Fuller whom she married after graduating. Judy was a life-long member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Junior League of Atlanta.
Judy routinely spent time at Cherokee Town and Country Club while her girls were on the swim team, was an active tennis player, and enjoyed spending summers at Sea Island with her family.
Her proudest role was that of a loving mother and grandmother - known by her granddaughters as “Mimi”. Her most beloved companion was her long haired dachshund, “Mr. Riley”.
Judy was a loyal, genuine, and understanding friend who never met a stranger. She will be sorely missed, but her love, kindness, compassion, gentleness, and selfless nature will stay with us always. Her light will shine in our hearts forever. The Fuller family thanks Full Heart Home Care, LLC. and all of its “angels”, as Judy would call them.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to The Lovett School in memory of Judy Hancock Fuller.
