Katherine Felder Hicks, age 86, of Marietta died Thursday, October 17, 2013. She was long time member of the Atlanta First United Methodist Church, where she also retired as the Church Membership Secretary and volunteered after her retirement. Mrs. Hicks is preceded in death by her husband, William Harwell Hicks Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Hicks, and Kathy Hicks, both of Marietta, as well as a cousin, Eleanor Pittman, of Decatur. A funeral for Mrs. Hicks will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11 o’clock at H. M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill with Dr. Charles Gardner and Dr. John Beyers officiating. Interment will follow in Stone Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until the hour of the service.
