Kathleen (Kathy) Patricia O’Connor passed away Saturday 17 June. Kathy was diagnosed with Sarcoma in early April, and we thought we had more time with her, but she was called home much too soon. Kathy had a love for travel and language. She caught the travel bug early in life and traveled to Europe, Asia, and Africa as well as many US destinations. She had so many stories she told of her travels that inspired others to broaden their horizons and see the world as well. She studied French through high school and college and took up Russian during her career days. The two things, everyone that knew Kathy would say are, she was the sweetest person they knew, and boy could she write directions, to a location or a process she was very thorough! She spent the last 17 years being a devoted Aunt giving her love and affection to her niece.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved sister Elizabeth (Beth) Ann O’Connor, her maternal grandparents Gerald and Jane Edwards, her paternal grandparents Patrick O’Connor ,Sarah and William Railey, three uncles, Gerald (Jerry) Edwards Jr., Mick O’Connor ,Joe O’Connor, and her beloved pets Sammy and Sacha. She is survived by her mother Joan Edwards O’Connor, her sister Lisa O’Connor and her much beloved niece Isabella Jane Gomez, her father William O’Connor (Peggy), her uncle Andy Edwards, her aunts Brenda Johnson Edwards (Jerry), Linda Edwards, and JoAnn Short O’Connor (Joe), her cousins Trey Edwards, Tori Edwards Frailey (Hank) , Hunter Edwards, Katie O’Connor Mendoza (Omar), Erin O’Connor, and so many others that love and will miss her everyday. There are so many dear friends that Kathy had over the years, friendships that span 5 decades, and she appreciated each and everyone of them and treasured those friendships more that each of them will know.
Visitation will be held on Saturday 24 Jun, 2023 from 5-7 PM
