Linda Cacchioli Fountain died suddenly on July 23, 2011. She was born on November 11, 1945 to her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Louis G. Cacchioli. Linda considered her mother and father her greatest heroes in life. Linda was a graduate of Queens University in Charlotte, NC, and Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA . She was a teacher, counselor, and then head counselor in the DeKalb County School System. She loved Peachtree High School and then Peachtree Charter Middle School. Linda was a dedicated humanitarian. She loved her students, her Georgia and New Jersey families, her niece and nephew, and her sisters. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dr. Harold W. Fountain, Jr., her sisters, Susan Shaw and Beth Cacchioli, her niece, Clair Shaw, and nephew, Greg Shaw. She considered Susan Milton Wehunt as her greatest friend. Visitation will be at Patterson’s Oglethorpe Hill Chapel from 4 to 8 on Monday, July 25, 2011. A graveside service will be at Arlington Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11 o’clock. Those desiring may make contributions in Linda’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
