

Louella Higgins Randall, 90, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on March 2, 2016. Although she was of Tennessee Heritage, Louella was born and spent her early years in Pennsylvania. In 1939, her family moved to Atlanta. She attended Washington Seminary and graduated with a degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. In 1949, she married Luther Hill Randall, Jr and was happily married for 49 years until his passing in 1998. Louella had a passion for the arts and was an accomplished painter, enjoyed gardening, traveling and had a lifelong interest in keeping up with current events and politics. She was a member of the Piedmont Garden Club, Junior League of Atlanta, The High Museum and St. Philip’s Cathedral. Louella was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Helen Randall, Louella (Christian Etters) Randall; son, Luther H. (Frances) Randall, III; grandchildren, Laura, Matthew, Melanie, Olivia, Luther IV; sisters, Mary Lee MacDougall and Jean Higgins. The Randall family is deeply grateful for the devoted service provided by Louella’s caregivers, Fannie Mae, Carolyn, Martha, Emma, Betty and Sue. Visitation will take place at Patterson’s Spring Hill on March 6, 2016 from 3 until 6 o'clock. The funeral service will follow on March 7, 2016 at St. Philip’s Cathedral at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Louella’s name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home, St. Philip’s Cathedral, Buckhead Christian Ministries or to a charity of your choice.
