Marcia Lemmon, 48, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Marcia was born in Skokie, Illinois, to Ruben and Eleanor Moday on November 2, 1976. She attended elementary and middle school in Skokie before her family relocated to Monroe, Georgia, where she completed high school. In 1998, Marcia graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Health Promotion and Behavior. She went on to build a successful career as a project manager at Convergent in Atlanta, where she worked for 18 years.
In 2002, Marcia met the love of her life, Nathan Lemmon, while working in Atlanta. The two were married on November 28, 2007, and were blessed with two beautiful children, Murray (b. March 27, 2008) and Maia (b. July 30, 2010). In 2018, Marcia made the bold and inspiring decision to return to school part-time to pursue a nursing degree, all while raising her young children and supporting her family with unwavering love and strength.
Marcia was known for her radiant smile that could light up any room and a spirit that brought joy to everyone she met. She loved to sing, dance, and laugh, and had a passion for traveling, cousin road trips, wineries, fine dining, and quiet moments of pampering. Above all, Marcia cherished time spent with her husband, children, and her beloved puppy, Pinto.
Marcia was preceded in death by her father Ruben Moday, and grandparents Zotico and Leonora Moday. She is survived by her husband Nathan, son Murray, daughter Maia, mother Eleanor Moday, and brother Patrick Moday.
A memorial Mass will be held in celebration of Marcia’s life on Friday, September 19 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven, Georgia. Arrangements are being handled by H.M. Patterson & Son.
Marcia’s warmth, compassion, and boundless love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
