Margaret “Peggy” Thomas Christian, 87, of Atlanta passed away peacefully February 12, 2015 after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Robert and Inez Thomas, Peggy was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a caring wife to predeceased Ben F Christian, Sr. and a dedicated mother to Colleen Christian Doss (David) of Memphis and Ben F. Christian, Jr. (Carla) of Atlanta. Peggy also leaves grandchildren Catherine Cagle (Michael), Mathew Doss (Brooke) of Memphis, and Emily Christian and niece, Diane Dorsett, of Atlanta. She enjoyed a successful career in real estate at Northside Realty and Caldwell Banker for many years. She was a long time member of Peachtree Christian Church and supported the Fellowship Mission on Kelly Street in her younger days. Her gentle smile and kind, generous spirit will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at Peachtree Christian Church with interment following at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends from 12pm until the time of the service at the church. Rev. Bob Tyler, Rev. Jim Bell, and Rev. Tom Money will officiate. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the Peachtree Christian Church Heritage Fund.
