My Angel you gave me. Now you are with Jesus, Think about you all the time. 


One of my favourite memories of GrammaMary was how that woman could yell!  Maaaagggggiiiieeeee!!! It had love, determination, encouragement & support all in those two syllables.

Determination.  That is GrammaMary.  Our families would have never met if not for her determination to get Mags into LHS.

All our hearts have a GrammaMary shaped hole in them. She is in heaven still cheering us on to be better people and we are, just for having known her.  Love you...MamaC

I don’t have a one time story, but more like a number of memories of enjoying seeing Mary beaming with pride.  At Maggie’s bridal shower; at their wedding; when she gave us a tour of her new house in Jasper and meeting Sadie for the first time; showing us her new sports car; and at Maggie’s baby shower.  And really so many other times, when you could hear the pride in her voice and see her love for family shining in her eyes.  

The service was lovely!  Mary would have approved.  I can just imagine that if Mary had of been there among us, she would have been adding to each person’s stories of her and correcting any tidbit that we left out!  Ha!  She would have then tried to turn the table and tell everyone what was special about each one of us…it is just how Mary rolled!  Loved her with my soul and I love y’all!

So sorry to hear of Mary's passing, I worked with her at Bellsouth, I did not know her as Mary, I knew her as Mary Amerson, when I needed to a problem fixed that was in her department I was told you gotta call Mary Amerson, so even when I saw her in person I called her Mary Amerson all one word. She was a sweet, helpful, funny lady. I loved working with her.

Can't ever remember not thinking Micky was part of our family!  All of the Scoggins family loved her and will surely miss her. Prayers and love extended to all of her family in your time of grief. Know she took a heart full of love and precious memories with her.

One memory  is when she  came and ate lunch with me and took me to the book fair. Another memory is when she took me to see grandma Gid.

I am going to miss Mary!  In addition to becoming family when Garrett and Maggie married, she became a friend and travel companion.  She talked of future trips she wanted to make.  Travel on Mary,  travel on!  I send my love and prayers to her friends and family,

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I remember fiesty Mary from the telephone company days. She was always there to help and always made you laugh. RIP Mary.🙏♥️🙏

I don’t know where to start to share my sentiments about Mary. We always joked that we were each other’s Wife-In-Law, but we were much more than that. I have such a deep love for the wonderful soul that graced this world for such a short time. Her family was everything to her and I am proud that she considered me hers. She was one of the strongest, no-frills woman I have ever known and yet she truly possessed a heart of gold!  We might not talk for a couple of months at a time but we knew we were always one phone call away.  I always felt at ease with Mary from the very day I met her and my life has a huge hole in it now!  I am going to miss you so terribly bad, my sweet, head strong, phlegmatic friend!  May you fly high with the angels!

So sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She was a great person to know and to work for. When finishing a job I had done for her she asked how much she owed me, when I told her, which was the price we had agreed on she said " I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't that" then  paid me more.  Also, she took me to lunch when I was doing a job for her downtown and I found out what a terrific driver she was! I will miss her.

Mary was so generous to provide her friends with fabulous vacations.   Will always cherish the memories of Hilton Head, Orlando, Pigeon Forge.  Our times at concerts, lunches, breakfasts, church were unforgettable occasions.

I wish I could post all my pictures of Mary here.  Will limit to just a few.


Mary and I met at Mountain West Church and immediately developed a beautiful friendship.  Such a generous, loving, fun person.  So many happy times we spent together in the last 10 plus years.  I have photo album filled with memories of those times together.  Love you, Mary, and love your family.  You will be missed by all the people you touched here on earth.  Enjoy your Heavenly home now!

Think about you often. Sad I won’t see you here anymore. Thrilled when I think of you sitting with Jesus.  You brought me so much joy. We sure did laugh . We had fun. I’ll never forget everything you did for me. I’m going to keep in touch with your kids. Happy I have so many pictures of our trips.Only one fits  here lol Love you my friend❤️


I worked with Mary for many years at BellSouth Perimeter Ctr.  Mary
was a hard worker and expected everyone to carry their share.She was fun and sometimes loud mouthed(but aren't we all sometimes).I know she loved her family and when Charlye was born that did wonders for her.She loved that little one.Prayers for all the family and that God wraps his arms around all of you and comfort you.RIP Mary.
