
Ginny Campbell, 87, of Atlanta passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was the only child and daughter of Thomas M. and Maude D. Edwards of Winston-Salem, NC. Ginny was born and lived in Winston-Salem until attending Stephens College in Columbia, MO. After graduation, Ginny moved back to Winston-Salem where she later wed William C. Campbell, Jr. In 1953, Bill and Ginny moved their young family to Atlanta.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Bill. After his death, Ginny dedicated her life to her three surviving children and seven grandchildren. Ginny is survived by her son, Thomas J. Campbell and his children, Anna K. Campbell and Thomas E. Campbell; daughter, Molly C. Peters and her children, Ashley E. Peters and Rebecca D. Peters; and son, William C. Campbell, III and his children, Kristin C. Swanstrom, Amanda P. Campbell, and Chase E. Campbell.
Ginny actively supported her community as a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Pastors Aid; Alliance Theatre Guild; Piedmont Garden Club; Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Guild; Shepherd Center Auxiliary; The Stephens Club; and The Young Women of the Arts. Bill and Ginny were also longtime members of The Capital City Club. Ginny’s greatest joys in life were her family and friends. She enjoyed a full and happy life and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service for Ginny will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the eleventh of February in Dobbs Chapel at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta. The family will receive friends in Williams Hall after the service.
