

Black, Milbrey Jackson, Age 91, of Atlanta, GA passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Fenner and Emmie Keith Jackson, and her husband, Jimmy “Pop” Black and grandson, Michael Ganick. She is survived by her children, Jimmy (Bonnie) Black of Greensboro, NC; Tootsie Ganick of Nashville, TN; Eloise Morris of Atlanta, GA; Frances (Al) Sewell of Memphis, TN and Boo (Bernard) Whitham of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and her 9 grandchildren, Buster (Caroline) Black, Katie (Jesse) Poole, Weezie (Chris) Keiner, Chandler (Niki) Ganick, Grady (Amy) Morris, Bobby (Kara) Morris, Maggie Morris, Bud Whitham and Milbrey (Jason) Rowe and 16 great grandchildren. Milbrey was born in Nashville, TN and graduated from Vanderbilt University, where she met her husband Jimmy. Her summers were spent directing Camp Riva-Lake, where she was fondly known as the Old Gray Mare. Our beloved “Nanny” will be loved and missed by all. Services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 435 Peachtree St. N.E. Atlanta, GA followed by a visitation in the Hamilton Room.
