

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Dr. Aida El-Khazen Suidan; his children, Toufic, Ziad, and Tala; his brother, Makram, and sister, Maleeha Maalouli, and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tewfic Mubadda Suidan and Georgette Siffri Suidan, and his sister, Muna Melhem.
In 1934, Mubadda was born in Haifa, Palestine. He was raised there until 1948 when the family moved to Beirut, Lebanon. In 1982, he and Aida moved to Atlanta, Georgia with their three children.
In his early years, Mubadda studied Civil Engineering, earning his BE and ME from the American University of Beirut. After earning his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign, Mubadda returned to the Middle East to work. He and Aida married in 1974. Mubadda Retired in 2003 after a long and successful engineering career. He and Aida traveled to visit family and see the world in his last years.
Mubadda had a passion for Arab and Palestinian education causes. St. John Chrysostom Melkite Church located at 1428 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE, Atlanta, Ga 30307 will host the memorial service on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 12:00PM EST. Visiting hours will follow with the mercy meal. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alif Institute or the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund or to St. John Chrysostom Melkite Catholic Church.
