

Nick L. Hondros, 92, passed away on September 9, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born August 4, 1924 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, the son of Louis Nick and Vasiliki Hondros. In 1945, Nick served his country in WWII-Army Air Force 149th AACS SQD Detachment #17 in the Pacific Theatre at Rockhampton QLD, Australia. In 1948, he married Emily Thomas Cavalaris and they were happily married for 55 years until her passing. In 1987, Nick retired from Brunswick Corporation-Bowling Division and held several management positions during his employment. Preceding him in his death were his wife, Emily Thomas Cavalaris; Sister, Sophie Hondros Booras; Children, John Soublis and Lewis N. Hondros. He is survived by his brother, Bill Hondros of Silver Springs, Maryland; John and Rena Hondros of Wooster, Ohio, his daughters, Joanne Soublis of Dunwoody, GA, and Patricia Russell of Aurora, IL and his son, Thomas and Tabitha Hondros of Monroe, GA. Nick will be missed by his grandchildren; Tina Soublis of Dunwoody, GA, Aimee and Michael Biggs of Johns Creek, and his great grandchildren; Sophie Kate Biggs and John Burkett Biggs of Johns Creek, his in-laws; Harry Cavalaris, Jimmy and Joanna Cavalaris of Charlotte, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral , 2500 Clairmont Road in Atlanta with the interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
