PATRICIA WALLACE CYPHERS devoted her life to her family - and to serving those around her. At 4’11” tall, her stature was never a measure of her presence and impact on those she touched. Her energy level, smile, and sense of humor brought life to any room. And her servant’s heart – and devotion to the Lord - was felt by everyone she knew. Born August 3, 1946 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Pat was the youngest of ten children. Following her early years in Chattanooga, Pat moved to Atlanta where she met her soul mate and future husband Leonard Cyphers. She and Leonard raised their family – and worked together side-by-side in business ventures – for more than 35 years. They attended and served at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lilburn, GA, which she always called her church home. Pat also faithfully volunteered for the American Cancer Society, United Way and the American Parkinson’s Disease Association. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Ben Phelps and their children Timothy, Townsend and Alex; son John Cyphers; sister Libby Erwin; brothers Charles Wallace and Bruce Wallace; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Pat Wallace Cyphers passed away March 21, 2014 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital. The funeral will be held Monday, March 24th at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1826 Killian Hill Road in Lilburn, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in memory of Pat Cyphers to the Weinstein Hospice, www.weinsteinhospice.com. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 23rd from 3pm until 5pm at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30319.
