Rebecca Ione Dennard

Rebecca I. Dennard, 83, died Thursday, July 28, 2011. She was born on May 10, 1928 to the late Walter Lee and Ruth Dennard. Becky is survived by her lifetime friends, Dot and Keith Sumner. She was a member of Park Street United Methodist Church for sixty plus years. Active throughout the church, Becky held many positions over the years, including Sunday School Teacher. She spent 32 years working for Fulton County Schools and was the Director of Health and Physical Education for 30 of them. Becky received many special achievement awards during her 30 years of service GAHPER and AAHPER. The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill on Friday, the twenty-ninth of July from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening. Funeral Services will be held at Patterson’s Spring Hill Chapel on Saturday, the thirtieth of July at two o’clock in the afternoon with Rev. Owen Kellum and Rev. Warren Harbert to officiate; burial will follow at East View Cemetery in Conyers, GA.
