On April 6, 2023, Shelly Kay Hohimer (née John) passed away peacefully at the age of 71. Born in Chanute, Kansas and raised in Eunice, New Mexico, Shelly was always up for an adventure. She moved with her family from New Mexico to New Orleans and eventually settled in Tampa, FL where she raised her two children, Jason and Stacy. A successful career in the insurance industry led Shelly to Hartford, CT and then to Atlanta, GA. Shelly was a quiet, gentle soul, yet strong and determined as she persevered through life's joys and challenges. She was a loving and exceptional mother and friend, always putting others first. Her loved ones were her world, and the most important part of her journey through life. Shelly is survived by her son Jason, daughter Stacy, and her 3 grandchildren, Emory, Rhys, and Lydia. Please raise a glass, and toast to this beautiful person. She will be missed, and forever in our hearts.
