

Steven R. Holman, Jr., of Atlanta, GA, passed away Friday January 19 after a short illness. He was born in Boston, MA and moved to Atlanta in 1980, when he was nine months old. He graduated from St. Jude the Apostle School then went on to Woodward Academy and graduated in 1998. He graduated from the University of Georgia, where he received his degree in Speech Communications.
His working career centered on politics in Washington, DC, working mainly for Senator Saxby Chambliss. Steve was a Proud Georgia Bulldog sports fan and was also passionate about the Atlanta Hawks. He even worked as a locker room assistant for the Hawks through high school.
Steve is survived by his parents, Steve and Mary Jane Holman; his brother, Scott Holman and his wife Amy; nephew, Connor; niece, Caitlyn; as well as his uncle, aunt and several cousins.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at H.M. Patterson’s Spring Hill Chapel, 1020 Spring Street NW Atlanta.
The Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Drive NE, Sandy Springs, with interment to follow at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy NW. Sandy Springs.
