

Theodore Ishmael Jockisch, age 72, of Atlanta, passed away on Thursday, August 13th at Emory University Hospital Hospice in Atlanta, Georgia. Ted was born on April 25, 1943 in Auburn, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University and attended the University of Alabama Dental School receiving his DDS. Ted was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. After retiring from 25 years of dentistry, he turned his energy to Real Estate Development and owned several businesses. Ted is survived by his three children, Mark Thomas, Michael Jockisch and Nicole Jockisch Carlos; brother, Alan Jockisch; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Jerry Newman; three nephews, Chris Carter, Carlton Carter and Carry Newman; former wife, Kathy Jockisch; beloved friend, Silvieu (Romeo) Balaban; and many other friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 17th at 11 o’clock at Northside United Methodist Church, 2799 Northside Drive, NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30305.
