I am so very sorry and shocked to read  of Vickie's passing in the Emory magazine.  Although we did not stay in touch in recent years Vickie was my college roommate at Emory.  We shared so much during those days.  We were both Biology majors and took lots of classes together.  She was a good listener and always made me feel better after talking with her.  I am really heartsick to hear or her passing and extend my deepest sympathy to the family especially Debbie who I also knew during our Emory days.

I will miss Vickie as a neighbor and friend! She was always "playing in the dirt" as she called it. It was truly amazing to see the results of "Playing" when spring rolled around each year!  I will certainly miss her smiling face and sweet spirit!

I am happy to get to know her I met her in the Bahamas and have unforgettable memories of her at many wonderful vacations together.  Her lives journey was much to short and I kindly extend my sympathy to you and your families.

I will remember most Vickie for her intelligence and her humor.  She was well read and well travelled and could converse on any topic.  In fact, she loved to talk and would tell absolutely hysterical stories, often relating mishaps of her own.  It was clear she loved her family as they were ever present in her stories.
She was an expert blood banker.  She was the one you wanted on the job in an emergency situation when a patient had an antibody.  She could identify the antibody, find compatible blood and complete the crossmatch in record time.  
As a coworker, I will miss her warmth, humor, and competence and I extend my sympathy to her loved ones.

Our deepest condolences on your loss. Vicki was a wonderful person, and we always enjoyed her company, whether for a movie, dinner or vacation travel.

I worked with Vickie.  I worked 4 years with her.  The last funny conversation that we had was about the tablet game "Angry Birds".  She was telling me all the details about it, because I did not know that much about it.  She was telling me that her sister or someone close to her was addicted to the game an often played it in meetings. I will always remember her when I think of the game.

Vickie had a way of talking and laughing that made me happy to be with her.  I will really miss those good times and our trips to the Bahamas.  My deepest sympathy to all of her friends and family who will miss her too.

I will really miss Vickie; I was always hoping she would join us one more time in Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas, for another much needed vacation. She always had some great stories to share. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
