

Victoria Fant Stevenson Land, 76, of Brookhaven, GA, passed away on Christmas Eve morning, December 24, 2024. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Vickie, as she was known to many, graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
A lifelong learner, Miss Vickie enjoyed reading James Patterson novels and challenging her mind with word searches. A devoted fan of the University of Alabama ("Roll Tide!"), she also enjoyed watching SEC football and indulging in her favorite Bravo TV shows.
Miss Vickie was a proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority for 50 years, and also held memberships in Alpha Psi Omega Dramatic Fraternity and Phi Kappa Phi Elected Honor Society.
One of her proudest roles in life was as a Pre-K teacher at Early Childhood School at Second Ponce De Leon Baptist Church (now Christ the King Preschool at Second-Ponce) and caring for young children.
She was preceded in death by her sister Sarah Kay Stevenson McWithey and close friend Gene Arthur Farris-Hopkins.
Miss Vickie is survived by her daughter Kathryn Stevenson Land Sanders, son-in-law Ronald Sanders, grandchildren Rhys and Rett Sanders; brother-in-law Richard McWithey, nephew Preston McWithey, niece Elizabeth McWithey Hatch; grandchildren Victoria Cecilia Muñoz (Toria), Sarah Raquel Muñoz (Kayla), and James Christian Torres (Christian); and great-grandson, David Muñoz Small.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Cathedral of Christ the King, with a reception following in Kenny Hall. All who wish to pay their respects may attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to assist with end-of-life expenses.
The family of Vickie Land (or Meme as she was called by those who loved her most) wish to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Father Richard Lopez, Dr. William Scaljon, Dr. Spencer Kozinn, Dr. Joy McCaffrey, Dr. Kevin Nguyen, Dr. Courtney Pollard, Dr. Leda Gattoc, Dr. William Jonas, the staff of the Peachtree Radiation Oncology Services and the Piedmont Cancer Institute, as well as Dr. Henry Perez and the staff at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta.
