William was born in Atlanta, GA to Aldine L. Terry and Ruby Johnson Terry on June 11, 1940.
He attended Henry Grady High School in Atlanta. He received his Bachelor's in Music from Georgia State and Master's in Music Education from the University of Georgia. He worked for Munich-America Re-insurance for over 25 years.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
William is survived by his brother Daniel Terry of Woodstock, GA.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
