Willie (Bill) Earl Massey, Jr. was born April 28, 1928 and passed October 9, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. His parents were Willie Earl Massey, Sr. and Lois Tripp Massey. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and Clemson University. He served 3 years in the US Army and was wounded in the Korean War. Bill worked as District Sales Manager for Crane Manufactures Inc. for 44 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Josephine Eden Massey and his brother Thomas Gene Massey. Also surviving are his three children, Michael Earl Massey (Marcia), Amelia (Amy) Eden Massey, and Johnathan E. Massey (Nila); grandchildren, Glen William Massey, Michelle Denise Massey, Bentli F. Massey, and Maria Eden Massey. Bill served as Deacon and Chairman of the Board of Deacons at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, Atlanta. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, October, 12 2016 with a reception following at Wieuca Road Baptist Church. Bill will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park following the reception. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bill’s honor to Children’s Health Care or Wieuca Baptist Church.
