Agnes Louise Montgomery

Funeral will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Agnes Montgomery, 92, of Ashville who died February 22, 2017. Rev. Joe Wise and Rev. Jonathan Whisenent will officiate. Burial will be in Reeve’s Grove Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory will be directing.

Mrs. Montgomery was a member of Reeve’s Grove Baptist Church. She loved life, her family, her friends but most of all she loved Jesus. She had the sweetest smile and a tender kind heart. She loved taking care of her family and made sure they had everything they need.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Montgomery AKA “Bus Driver”; daughter, JoAnn Allen and grandsons, John Smith and Michael Wayne Allen.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny (Juanita) Montgomery; James (Nancy) Montgomery; daughters, Jenette (Kenneth) Loyd and Shirley (Bobby) Messer; 17 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Patrisha and Chris Smith and the nurses and staff at Alacare. Pallbearers will be Tim Montgomery, Shane Montgomery, Scott Smith, Scott Pruitt, Tristen Smith and Frank “Bud” Johnson.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
