
Anita and her twin, Timothy Dale Brown, were born to Royce and Mae Brown, Howelton, Alabama. Anita was born blind but from the time she could walk she learned how to navigate the world. When she was six she began attending the Helen Keller School for the Blind in Talladega, Alabama, and after graduating there she began working at the Blind Industries as a seamstress, where she worked until her retirement. She loved gospel music, especially the Chuckwagon Gang, and singing.
She is preceded in death by parents, Royce and Mae Brown; sister, Joyce Brown Robinson Farley; and brother, Royce H. Brown, Jr. (Butch); and brothers-in-law, Danny Robinson, Jack Farley, and Gary Howington.
She is survived by her twin, Timothy (Robin) Brown; brother, Paul (Deborah) Brown; sister, Linda Howington, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The service, conducted by Dr. Robert Klotz, will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Family will be welcomed at 12:30 PM, regular visitation 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, and funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Howelton United Methodist Church at 185 Howelton Church Road, Egypt, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
