Barbara Louise Lemons

Barbara Lemons age 59 of Attalla passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022. Funeral Service will be at 2p.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Sister Theresa Chapman officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 until 2pm. Burial at Conn Cemetery.

Barbara was born in Etowah County. She was a loving wife, mother, and nana. She married the love of her life, Rodney Lemons on September 20, 1982. They spent 40 years together. Barbara was employed at Gadsden Warehouse for numerous years where she became Supervisor and loved it. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. She was constantly trying to help any and everyone. She always worried about everyone but herself. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. She loved watching her grandchildren in sports. She loved family gathering that involved cooking. Everyone loved her cornbread. She fought her battle with cancer for 18 months and now she is home with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Lemons; mother, Maxie Dillard; father, James Dillard; brother, Kenneth Dillard; and sister, Karen Segers.

Barbara is survived by her children, Kasey (Chris Blackwell), Ashley Lemons (James Knight), Maxie (Thomas Wade) and Taylor Crawford (Soraya); grandchildren, Alyssa, Brayden, Aliyah, Jay, John, TJ, Cutter, Kylie, Avery, Semija, Faith Lynn; chosen grandchildren, Zakairah Ruff; sisters, Brenda Garrett, Kathy Dillard, Carol Dillard; brothers, Gary Dillard, Phillip Dillard, and Timmy Dillard.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Wade, Brandon Boarman, Taylor Crawford, James Knight, Chris Blackwell, Johnny Arevalo, and Kenny Gibbs.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Brayden Lemons, TJ Wade, Jay Douglas, John Blackwell, Cutter Blackwell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morgan Funeral Chapel.
