

Billy Ben Angles, age 66, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 27th, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Beth Thompson-Angles, his three children, Brandy Raburn (Michael), Jessica Fischer (Aaron), Josh Angles (Tyra), and their mother, Diane Angles. He was a beloved step-father to Michael Thompson (Tyler), Jessica Hubbard (Wayne), and Lacey Troiani (Matt). He was PawPaw to nineteen beautiful grandchildren: Kaitln and Kelsee Haynes; Rylee, Conner, Reagan, and Jackson Fischer; Brent McCarty; Calea, Halea, Balea and Josh Angles; Sophia and Tyler Raburn; Bea and Mac Thompson; Sophia, Caroline, and Abby Troiani; and Harry Hubbard. While Billy was preceded in death by his brother Jim Angles, he is survived by his oldest brother Robert Angles, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and family members who loved him tremendously.
Billy entered the Air Force in 1973, serving in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He continued serving his country in the Air National Guard from which he retired after more than 20 years of service. In 2012, after 36 years of service, Billy retired from the US Army Chemical Materials Unit at the Anniston Army Depot. He loved to build and create. His retirement days were filled with woodworking, metal art, light farming, pets, worship, and in service to others.
His children are hosting a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Family Life Center at 2:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Montevallo National Cemetery at a date to be determined. The family covets your prayer during these incredibly difficult times.
