Bobby "Blinky" Mac Allen Sr.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, Attalla for Bobby Mac (Blinky) Allen, Sr., 77, Coates Bend, who passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Bro. Eddie Stevenson officiating. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery.

Blinky graduated from Gadsden High School in 1960. He then went on to have a successful lifelong career as a diesel mechanic, including owning Allen Diesel and First Diesel. He continued working in the field that he loved until the end of his life here on earth. Blinky was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide and race car fan. He was a loving and devoted family man and thought of his employees as extended family. He loved animals and rescued many throughout the years.

Blinky will be sorely missed by his family and friends including his beloved wife of 55 years, Betty Allen; sons, Bobby, Jr. (Audra), Wade (Tracy) and Nicky; grandchildren, Cierra, Zane and Zoey Benson; sisters, Shelva (Tom) Weathington and Judy (Jerry) Ashley; and several nieces and nephews.

While Blinky will be missed, we will rejoice in the fact that he is in the presence of his heavenly Father and has been reunited with many friends and family members, including his parents, James Carl and Vera Allen and his brother, Buddy Allen.

Pallbearers are Joe Bouldin, John Haynes, Brian Harbin, Mark Hunt, William Spurlock and Ryan Pruett. Honorary pallbearers are current and former employees.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 1 until 2p.m. prior to the service at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
