Bobby Van Roden

Graveside service will be at 3 P.M. Saturday July 9, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Cemetery.

Rev. Darrell Huff will officiate.

Bobby was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He retired from the Attalla Police Department in 1997, after 23 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey V. Roden, Grace Odessa Scott, and stepmother Gertrude Roden, son, David L. Roden, daughter, Deborah Roden Phillips, brothers, Norman, O’Neil, and Kenneth Roden, sister, Vernell Roden, daughter-in-law, Jamie Roden, and special friend, Robert Baker.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce L. Roden, daughter, JoMarie (Zane) Allsup, son, Mark D. Roden, sisters, Erma Powell, Dottie Minyard, Judi Bryson, Denia Hope, brother, Johnny Roden, grandchildren, Kendra (Clay) Poe, Daniel Roden, Tana (Eric) Estes, Jess (Nichole) Allsup, Kevin Seahorn, Jason (Valorie) Phillips, Ashley Weatherwax, son-in-law, George Phillips, great grandchildren, Kinleigh Poe, Sophia Weatherwax, Tristin and Trevor Poe, Channing and Raelyn Estes, Ashlyn and Graham Phillips, and special family friends, Christy Rosson and John Harp.

Pallbearers will be Clay Poe, Dennis Rosson, David McCormick, Barry Williams, Ricky Burt, Jason Bouldin, and Ricky Holland.
