Diana is preceded in death by her parents C. L. and Margaret Connally; and brother, Clifford “Bud” Connally.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Byron Smedley; children, Kim (Terry) Brown of Chatsworth, GA., Michael (Cindy) Smedley of Rainbow City, AL., and Stephen (Lisa) Smedley of White, Ga.; grandchildren, Jessica Dye, Ryan Smedley, Erin (Josh) Law, and Jenna (Austin) Green; 7 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Judy Wilson of Lima OH.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of the staff at Enhabit Hospice for their compassionate care during this difficult time. The family also wishes to thank the young ladies at Pruett’s BBQ who always showed so much love to Diana and friends for their love, concern and kind words.
A private graveside service was held at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either Cure Alzheimer’s Fund or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
