Edith King

Mrs. King passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Diversicare of Boaz.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jimmy and Janice Taylor, her grandchildren, David (Gayle) Cobb, Shannon (Kevin) Norred, Meredith Taylor, Dr. Jeffrey (Paula) King, Jennifer (Trey) Doonan, Dr. Jessica King, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of family and “bonus” family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulas Denton King, son and daughter-in-law, Dr. William (Sandy) King, her parents, Will and Minnie Edwards, her brothers, W.C. (Mablean) Edwards and Raymond (Laura) Edwards.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mrs. King’s favorite charity in her memory, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org/donate) or the charity of your choice.
