Ann was born February 16, 1951 as the 3rd child to Carl and Elizabeth Smith. She was a graduate of Ashville High School and a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. Ann was the absolute hardest worker but always had a smile on her face and kind words spoken. She was truly dedicated to her family and friends. Ann was loved by all that knew her, most people called her “Maw” because she treated everyone like family. She enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She loved camping, was a master of growing beautiful plants and flowers and she loved hummingbirds. Ann loved working in her yard. She always took pride in everything she did. Ann’s life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Ann is survived by her daughter, Kristi Hill Tipton; grandchildren, Amber (Dylan) Swindall, Dorsett (Arianna) Tipton, and Caleb Tipton; great grandchildren, Dayton and Dax Tipton, Colt Swindall, and Avery Tipton; her brother, Stephen (Linda) Smith; Tom and Jane Miller, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, along with special friends and family.
