Mrs. Petty passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Gadsden Health & Rehab.
She is survived her son, Phil Petty (Carol), four grandchildren, her sister, Joy Rowan, two brothers, Bill McNew (Maxine) and Richard McNew, her special friend, Gail Petty, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Petty, her daughter, Susan Moore, her parents, George, Sr. and Reba McNew, her brother, George McNew, Jr. and her sisters, Peggy Bailey and Margaret Walker.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to anyone involved in Mrs. Petty’s care.
