

Memorial Service will be at 12pm Saturday, September 13, 2025 at White Springs Baptist Church (4411 Rainbow Drive Rainbow City, AL) with Pastor Chris Terrell officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11 until 12pm.
Frances graduated from Etowah high school in the class of 1959. She was employed by and retired from Bell South, later known as AT&T. She was a devoted member of White Springs Baptist Church. She belonged to many organizations such as Master Gardeners, and Local Fiber Guilds. She had many hobbies, including baking and cooking. She enjoyed weaving, including caning chairs, lace making, basket weaving, spinning, beading, knitting and birdwatching. She also loved gardening and liked to work with decorative gourds which she also grew in her and Gene's garden. She enjoyed making jams and jellies from the blueberry bushes she grew as well! She excelled at anything she was intent on doing!
Her motto was, "You have to want to!!"
Preceded in death by: Husband Robert Eugene Elrod,
parents Guy and Willie O'Donnell Holladay,
sister Carolyn Holladay Gulledge.
Survived by: Gary Holladay, brother, sister-in-law Diane Holladay, Gina Moses, daughter, son-in-law, Robert Moses, Several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews with a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers Lisa Murphy, Angela Garrison, Dana Daughdrill, Charlene Powell, ACG Hospice, and Mrs. Amy.
