Franklin worked for around 40 years at Norfolk Southern Railway before retiring in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Orville Clark and Florice Angeline Clark; his wife, Betty Easter Clark; and his brother, Keith Clark.
He is survived by his children, Terry Steven Clark, Rodney Kelly Clark and Sarah Clark Hardy; grandchildren, Andrew Blake Clark, Daniel Aaron Clark, and Adrian Paul Hardy and Zach Stewart; sisters, Emily Ritchie and Joan Clark Mann.

Franklin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by so many; especially by his loving family.
