Gary Ronald Morgan

Gary "Bot" Morgan, 67, of Attalla passed away on December 15, 2021 with his family by his side. Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 pm- 2 pm at Morgan Chapel.

Gary was born May 27th, 1954 to the late Eddie Katherine and Edgar Luther Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Linda Sue Morgan; brothers, Glenn Payton and David Morgan and sister, Martha Sheets. Gary was employed by Averitt Express for over 30 years. After retiring he spent time shuttling his grandchildren from school to ball practice. It was his favorite thing to do. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Attalla Fire Department. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off of his back and the shoes off his feet. He was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Heath (Leah) Morgan, Daniel (April) Morgan; grandchildren, Jaxen, Jaden, Jenna and Jace Morgan; chosen grandchildren, Lily Vickery and Axel Holland; brother, Jerry (Carlene) Morgan and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Cook, Matthew Fountain, Nick Stonebraker, Mike Morgan, Michael Turner and Michael Holland.

In lieu of flowers please purchase a toy for a child in need which Gary did every Christmas.
