Gladys Ruth Wise

Funeral services for Gladys Ruth Wise, age 91 of Attalla who passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Donnie Smith and Bro. Jon Minyard will be officiating the service.

Burial will immediately follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Gladys worked at several area nursing homes as a CNA before retiring. She loved floral and vegetable gardening, painting and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wise; parents: Louis and Eva Battles and brothers: Enzer Battles and Jack Battles.

She is survived by her sons: Carl (Rita) Wise and Michael (Jimmie Lou) Wise; grandchildren: Stephanie (Gary) Allen, Jennifer (Tony) Edington, Re (Darrell) Arnold, Sharon (Jon) Minyard, Lorna (Jeff) Johnston, Lisa (Mikey) Horton, Justin (Britany) Wise, Michael (Jessica) Wise, Bradley Wise, Zackery (Sierra) Wise, Bret Allen and Lindsey Arnold and great grandchildren: Lexus Davis, Montana Arnold, Trenton Davis, Autumn Minyard, Kaley Minyard, Lydia Minyard, Dameon Spencer, Aiden Davis, Katie Horton, Cheyenne Horton, Ethan Johnston, Landon Johnston, Zaddah Wise, Jaidyn Wise, Caidyn Wise, Mackenzie Wise, Aubrey Wise, River Wise and Brayden Wise; and sisters,

Betty Joyce Wise and Ruby Hartline.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Johnston, Justin Wise, Michael Wise, Zackery Wise, Tony Edington and Randy Bohannon.

Honorary pallbearers are Mikey Horton and Gary Allen.
