Jackie Ray Carroll

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Chapel.

Jackie was born on December 12, 1952, in Gadsden, AL. He was a graduate of Etowah High School. He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for over 36 years and retired in 2009. Jackie loved to travel with his wife, Michele, going to the beach, boating on the river and coaching boys and girls ball teams. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with watching them play sports. Everyone loved Jackie as he was such a good friend to all. Jackie was the best Dad, Granddad and Husband you could have ever hoped for and he will be missed immensely.

Preceded in death by his parents, W.R. and Lorene Carroll; and his brother, Wayne Carroll.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Michele Carroll; daughters, Mindy (Wayne) Colvard, Jennifer (Sam) Kile, and Brandi (Todd) Hubbard; grandchildren, Raven (Chance) Crawford, Bailey (Dylan) Whitney, Peyton Monroy, Sawyer Colvard, Brittany Colvard, Clay Colvard, Caleigh Kile, Emma Kile, Lanie Kile, Gabe Hubbard, Kami Hubbard, and Silas Hubbard; several great-grandchildren; brother, Billy (Belinda) Carroll, brother-in-law, Casey (Denise) Reaves; niece, Quincy Reaves; mother-in-law, Barbara Abel, and bonus brother, Butch (Susan) Hammond.

The family would like to extend special thanks to HOAA Cancer Center, their nurses that he loved so much as they were his doughnut queens, to Dr. Castillo, the nurses from ACG Hospice that took such good care of him, and to all of our family and special friends who have done so much fo us the last few years and during this trying time.
