

Jeanette McNaron Halsey, 90, passed away on February 5, 2022. Jeanette was born in Lanett, Alabama on March 20, 1931 and spent her early years there. She moved to Gadsden at age 19 to marry the love of her life, William Gray Halsey, who preceded her in death.
Jeanette was a longtime resident of Rainbow City. She arranged flowers for many years and sold them from her home on Rainbow Drive. She enjoyed spending time with her family on the river. Her favorite pastimes were dancing, playing bingo, going to casinos and sitting around the table in her kitchen playing cards with her friends. She also loved doing yard work and most anything that kept her outdoors. Jeanette never met a stranger and was loved by all those who knew her. She made people laugh and always enjoyed a having a good time.
She is survived by her sister, Dale Davis (Bobby), grandchildren, William “Billy” Halsey and Karen Cline (Eddie), great grandchildren, Jessica Ballard (Jessie, Jacob Hollingsworth (Audrey), Justin Hollingsworth (Vanessa), Jimmy Trey Cline and great-great grandchildren, Tucker Hollingsworth and Violet Hollingsworth.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Katie and Curtis McNaron; sons, Jimmy Halsey and Jerry Halsey; sisters, Mary Nix and Thamar Bearden; brothers, Wayne McNaron, Buel McNaron and Merle McNaron.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Cline, Jacob Hollingsworth, Trey Cline, Donald Hollingsworth and Josh Kay. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Hollingsworth (Active Duty US Army), Jeff Williams, Russell Williams and Scottie Cline.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00.
