Jennifer was born on Chandler Mtn. and enjoyed life with her large family. After high school she lived in Birmingham for many years while raising her daughter. During this time she modeled, opened her own boutique, and learned to fly. Always an adventurer, she traveled to many places during her life. She eventually moved to Dallas, Texas to be closer to her daughter and family. During this time she worked as a travel agent and in retail. In later years, she returned to where she started, the beautiful Chandler Mtn., where she enjoyed life with Jim and her beloved family nearby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lecil and Mae Alexander; and siblings, Norman Alexander, Lorene Deweese, Kay Netherton, Revis Alexander, Harlon Alexander, and Marlene Burton.
Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Lisa Scheller and husband David; grandchildren, Jake and Grace Scheller; sisters, Ruth and Wayne Owen and Betty Sue Smith.
Pallbearers are Rodney Gilchrist, Brandon Alexander, Calvin Deweese, Nathan Deweese, Keith Burton and Kenny Burton.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, with a very special thanks to Nurse Gaynell Wade, who cared so deeply for my mother that she became part of our family. To Sarah Smith, her Home Care Aide, for her gentleness and kindness to my mom and to Teresa Walker an angel from heaven who cared for mom every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with such care, love and humor. We are so blessed to have had all of you. Also, my Mom was especially blessed to find true love later in life with her special friend, Jim Huff. Jim had unwavering love for my mother, and when she was ill treated her with such gentleness, patience, and endless humor, which mom loved. We should all be so lucky to have a Jim Huff in our life. He will forever be a part of our family.
Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
