
Jerry had a special love for flowers, especially his roses, and found peace in nature. His passion carried into his profession in lawn care, where he took pride in making the world around him more beautiful. He had attended Southside High School and will be remembered for his quiet spirit, kind heart, and the dedication he showed to both his work and those he loved. In recent years, he was a devoted son, faithfully helping care for his father.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Easterwood Sharp; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Lizzie Pinkston; and his maternal grandparents, Watt and Louise Easterwood. His father, Fred Pinkston, who passed away days later, is also remembered with him.
Jerry is survived by Drew Little (Ryan Dunn); three beloved grandchildren, two boys and one girl; his friend Scott Phillips, extended family and friends who will carry his memory forward.
In honor of his life, a committal service was held on April 29, 2026, at Old Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Rainbow City, Alabama. He was laid to rest in a joint burial with his father at New Harmony, where they now rest together. Morgan Funeral Chapel directed.
