JM Barnes, 87 of Steele passed away February 7, 2022. Graveside Service will be held at 3p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Cave Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Beard officiating. Family will be accepting friends at the cemetery prior to the service from 2:30 until 3p.m. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.
Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Billie Barnes; son in law, Ricky Whittington; father, Ben Barnes; mothers, Ruth and Maxine Barnes; sisters, Jewel, Evon, and Marion; brothers, Willis and Billy Jack Barnes.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Whittington; grandson, Matthew Whittington; sister, JoAnn Smith; brothers, David (Martha) Barnes and Kenneth (Vanessa) Barnes; sister in law, Patsy Barnes; and several nieces and nephews.
