

Mr. Alexander was born 1936 in Curtiston, Alabama. After graduating from Etowah High School, Mr. Alexander served in the US Navy, stationed in Bermuda, until he moved back to Alabama where he lived until his death. Mr. Alexander enjoyed his retirement from Goodyear Tire Company and devoted his remaining years to his hobby of gunsmithing.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Alexander, sisters, Edith Mead and Sandra Evans and brother, Norman Alexander. Survived by brothers, James Alexander and William Alexander; sisters, Patsy Shealy and Margaret McRee.
Mr. Alexander leaves behind his four children, Deborah Alford, James Alexander, Rhonda Casling and Jonathan Alexander. Grandchildren; Stephen Alexander, Jessica Davenport, Abbie Weir, Nicolas Weir and Harrison Casling. Great grandchildren; Jacob Davenport, Halle Davenport, Landon Davenport, James Gray Casling, Adele Weir, Alice Weir and Great Grandson, Rhett Davenport.
Mr. Alexander's life was enriched by the amazing friends he surrounded himself with. A special thanks to his friend, Neal Maddox, who made it possible for John Ed to live his life out at home as well as Frog West, who was always there for him.
