

Joseph Edward Seale of Rainbow City, passed away on his 86th birthday, September 15, 2016. Joe Ed was preceded in death by parents E.B. and Edith Cushing Seale and sister Kathryn Seale Smith. He is survived by wife, Joyce Hughes Seale, son Joe Lee Seale and beloved daughter-in-law Elizabeth (Liz) Rogers Seale of Roswell, Georgia, nieces Sandra Hill (Lewis) of Gadsden, Alabama and Sharon Richard (Mark) of Dalton, Georgia.
Joe Ed was a member of Rainbow City United Methodist Church, where he served in various administrative positions. He was a 1948 graduate of Gadsden High School and a 1952 graduate of Auburn University, where he was an active member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. After college, Joe Ed served two years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa. He spent his career as the District Cashier for Republic Steel and retired in 1986.
Honorary Pallbearers are K.J.Shah, M.D., Chip Griffith, M.D., all Windemere neighbors, and the Rainbow City Methodist Men’s Club. A special thanks to Gentiva Home Health.
Visitation will be held from 1 until 3pm, Sunday, September 18th at the Rainbow City First United Methodist Church, 3208 Rainbow Drive, Rainbow City, AL 35906, followed by a memorial service at 3pm. Dr. Brandon Harris officiating. A private burial at Forrest Cemetery will be held following the services. Morgan Funeral Chapel will direct6 services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rainbow City First United Methodist Church or the Howell Erwin Medical Fund at the First United Methodist Church, 115 South Fifth Street, Gadsden, Alabama 35901.
